Andy Wood
Andy Wood is the go-to guy for Portland comedy. He ran the successful comedy showcase "Grand Theft Pizza Party" and is known throughout the Northwest for his unique outlook and insightful delivery.
Dax Jordan
At the U. of O., Dax's good-guy looks and passively surly disposition earned him the nickname "Nice Guy Gone Horribly Wrong," which he is still not able to shake. This pushed Dax into the dark world of stand-up comedy, where he found that people were not only laughing with him, but at him as well. His hobbies are golf, pottery, and breaking his own nose with a ball-peen hammer.
Ron Funches
Born in L.A, raised in Chicago, then dumped in Salem, Oregon by his family, Ron Funches holds no affiliation to any region, country or planet. A roustabout with no sustainable income, Ron continues to do comedy with his son's SSI money and food stamps. "The main part of good comedy is being true to you," he says. "I'm not going to be the most shocking guy in the world because I have a wife and a son, and I can't be like that." That is not to say Funches' act avoids touchy topics. He speaks frankly about everything from infidelity to his 4-year-old son's autism in his act. "Nothing is sacred," he says, "because it is all important enough to be dealt with honestly and humorously."
Richard Bain
Portland-based comic Richard Bain has been delivering audiences his uncouth demeanor, unspeakable content and unapologetic style for years. He has headlined Seattles legendary Laffhole showcase, and remains one of the funniest men on this side of the Cascades.
Rylee Newton
Rylee Newton has appeared on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and was featured at the 2004 US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. She currently has over 250 Amtrak Guest Reward points.
Famous Mysterious Players
For those unfamiliar with the walking squeaky-voiced enigma that is the Famous Mysterious Actor, he—or it—is a sugar-addicted enfant terrible who possesses both the charm and festive cruelty of an eight-year-old going on 60. Clad in what appears to be a Mexican wrestling mask, soiled army parka and black fright wig, the Famous Mysterious Actor was born for fame. A stuttering pop culture enthusiast, Famous waxes high-pitched poetics on subjects as varied as Pixie Stix, the Iraq War and Hostess Twinkies.
