Bumbershoot's New Look

Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival is unveiling its new look with the launch of the 2008 Festival website! Even before the 2007 Festival was upon us, we were looking ahead to the NEXT Labor Day extravaganza, pursuing designers with a truly distinctive style and as much passion for Bumbershoot as we have. We are proud to announce we have been working with the talented and smart The Heads of State, today revealing a small peek at their 2008 design here, with more website features, killer merch, and other goodies to be released over the next few months.

The Heads of State have been making images together since the autumn of 2002. Founded by two Tyler School of Art graduates, Jason Kernevich and Dusty Summers have already garnered various design and illustration awards in their short tenure. Initially making a splash in the turn of the century poster resurgence, The Heads of State now craft logos, posters, book jackets, and editorial illustration for customers such as The New York Times, Penguin, Vintage Books, Esquire Magazine, Wilco, Capitol Records, The London Guardian, and The New York Public Library. Dusty lives in Seattle with his wife and bouncing-baby boy. Meanwhile, Jason hangs his hat in Philadelphia where he also teaches at Tyler School of Art.
